Blood Stains: Apply a small amount of hydrogen peroxide onto the stain and leave it on for several minutes, then blot it with a piece of dry and clean cloth.
Tip: If the blood stain remains, apply some normal laundry detergent and wait 15 minutes. Use a clean white cloth to clean off.
Vomit: Apply an enzymatic vomit cleaner, and open your windows to help air out the mattress. After a few hours blot the area of the stain with a damp cloth.
Mold/Mildew: Use a high powered vacuum cleaner on both sides of the mattress, then wipe with a clean cloth. Lastly try and put it out in the sun for a few hours to dry it out.
Advice: If your mattress has a lot of mold/mildew on just throw it out and get a new one. If that’s not an option due to funds take it to a professional cleaning company.
Urine: Use an enzymatic cleaner that will break down the structure then wipe off. This will partially remove the stain, so the next step is to add a 1/1 mixture of baking soda over it, then vacuum off.
Tip: Add some hydrogen peroxide to the baking soda mixture for extremely good results.
Juice, Coffee and Cola: Soak a cloth in rubbing alcohol and blot over the stain. Alternatively use vinegar and citrus cleaner.
